The Duveen Sculpture Galleries

In a country where art galleries, like hospitals, depend to a large extent on private charity, we can have nothing but praise for the munificence of Lord Duveen's new gift to the nation. It is a gesture of lavish proportions and noble motive. Nor can we question the good intentions of those responsible for the execution of this project.
