The exhibition, curated by Jasia Reichardt, includes paintings and drawings by Franciszka Themerson from her student days at the School of Fine Art in Warsaw and some of her later works in London. Most of the works on view have never been exhibited in England. Central to the display are three oil paintings of interiors – two never previously exhibited.

In the Swedish artistic duo’s first exhibition in Norway since 2020, glossy flowers, flapping birds and gold-plated beavers occupy the exhibition space. The artists’ dreamlike creations incorporate stop motion animation, sculpture and music, overwhelming visitors as they navigate the balance between the innocent and the grotesque.

Beyond Ravilious is the first major exhibition devoted to the artist and designer Tirzah Garwood since 1952. Best known until now as the wife of Eric Ravilious and as the author of the autobiography Long Live Great Bardfield, Garwood excelled as a fine artist and printmaker. Her diverse and enchanting works are gems of the mid-twentieth century.

The exhibition offers viewers the opportunity to see twenty-five rarely-displayed masterpiece drawings by Michelangelo in the United States. Displaying Michelangelo’s initial studies and early drawings of the Sistine Chapel frescoes, the exhibition explores the its origin story and reveals new findings.
