One of his instruments is described by Roger Pickering in Philosophical Transactions, Vol.43 No.473, p.5 (1744). From a selection of English and French carriage clocks; makers include Viner and Cole. A Chippendale period mahoganny secretaire, similar in proportions to the recently announced Osterley example. Width 2′ 6″; height 3′ 8″; depth 16″. Circa 1770. John Dwerrihouse, Berkeley Square, London. A neoclassical longcase clock of the model most often associated with Benjamin Vulliamy. The case was made by Joseph Rich, Vulliamy's cabinet maker. circa 1800.
